Individual pages of a hand made book before binding together.

Lettering, pattern and colour feature prominently in my work, and I veer unpredictably from formal calligraphy and layout to large canvases brimming with garish flowers and gold leaf.
Gold leaf and acrylic canvas
Technique and precision are crucial to how I work, and I particularly enjoy the centuries old process of raised illuminated gold leaf.
Verbal inspiration descends from predictable sources such as song lyrics, poetry and pithy quote, and over the years I have left in my wake a steady stream of commissioned work adorning the walls of churches, cathedrals, restaurants, schools, shops, and both corporate and domestic environments.
Commissioned Family Tree
I am one of the founder artists of Harding House Gallery Co-operative, and during the 17 years I have weekly trudged uphill, this lovely building has shared many changes in my life and work, I'd like to think it will continue for some time to come...
